How quickly can you get rid of rats or mice?

Are your rodent treatments safe for children and pets?

Since 2023, the strongest rodent poisons are banned for residential use in BC. Poison also tends to leave dead rodents inside walls. Trapping and sealing entry points are safer and more reliable.
How do I know if I have rats or mice?
Check the droppings. Mouse droppings are about 3–6 mm long, while rat droppings are 12–20 mm. Rats are also more common in crawlspaces, attics and outdoor areas like decks and sheds.
